Skincare Ingredients (Skin care police).

I went to a big shopping mall to buy a known brand products.  I had taken my time to research before I made up my mind to buy it.

On getting to the store, I picked the  product up, checked the container, and the size. It looked so genuine like the one I had checked on the Brand's website. 

Just when I was about to cart it, something came to my mind. I haven't checked the ingredients. The most important of them all. 

I browsed through the ingredients list. Guess what? 3 ingredients not listed on the one I researched. One of the ingredients was harsh, and shouldn't be found in a healthy skincare products. 

I knew straight up that I was holding a fake products. I said to myself, maybe it's their new or upgraded version. But the harsh ingredients is a red flag even if it's a new version.

Again I decided to open it and pump out, guess what? It was so watery or thin. Another proof that's fake. I asked the sales person how much it was? The price was way cheaper than the one I know.

I gently dropped it and went for any one.

At times a product can be fake but expensive. So price is not enough to conclude.

Another way to know is the country of production. Some may have right to produce or brand in Nigeria, but it's not enough reason.

Another way to know is quantity. Most brand use 250, 400, 500ml. Some fake products can be 600ml or between 500ml. 

When all these pointers fail. Knowing the right ingredients in skincare products is the only thing that can save you from buying trouble with your money. For those who cares.

Again, some fake producers are smart, they will list out the same ingredients as the original. The way to know is the consistency (thickness of the lotion) or smell. You may not be able to open and pump the product out. But when you buy it and open the seal, once it's watery it's can be a pointer too.

Just know your ingredients, have a trusted vendor to patronize and you will be fine.
