Mothers and their babies

I saw or heard something that surprised me yesterday. I was in a public transport when two women who know each other talking about their babies.

One of them was saying your baby is fine ooo. He's glowing and light skin like oyinbo pikin.

The woman receiving the compliments then said she uses engine oil for her baby. That it makes him look smooth and glow.

She went as far as encouraging the other woman to do the same for her child too.

I mean engine oil is a by-product of petroleum, which is used as a lubricant for cars, or automobile part. Who in their right mind does that.

What happened to Shea butter, Coconut oil, cold pressed olive oil or palm kernel oil. If that baby grow up with a skin condition,  she wouldn't think it's a result of what she used for him when he was little.

Please mothers if you are dark skin, or the father is dark skin. You can't expect a light skin child. If you want a light skin child, marry a light skin man.
