Since the inception of COVID-19, there has been emergence of new strains of the virus. As it is typical of viruses to change over time. According to World Health Organization(WHO), every time some viruses reproduce, there is a chance that could change.
There are several variants of the coronavirus that have developed because of "mutation". But the B.1.1.7, B.1.351 and P.1 identified in the UK, Sounds Africa and Brazil are key variants of concern, because they spread faster than the original COVID-19 strain.
Common systems of these strains are similar to those of the original Virus.
- Dry cough
- Muscle and Body aches
- Loss of Taste or smell.
More severe symptoms can include;
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain
- Loss of speech or movement
- Discoloration of fingers or toes.
Once you feel any of these symptoms, go any COVID-19 centre for a test. The more the virus spread, the more it mutates
