It's been a while here. As usual, you know I always have something to share with you guys. I just started an early morning face rinse using herbal water and I must say the result has been fantastic.
Every morning, I boil a piece or half or ginger and about 1-2 tumeric root in water. Once cool, I rinse my face with it and head out for the day. At times, especially days where I wear makeup or didn't cleanse before going to bed, I wash with soap and the liquid or dab it on my face as a toner after washing.
We all know that tumeric is high in antioxidant and highly anti-inflammatory same as ginger, and it contains brightening properties too. A week after using this, my face has been clear, bright, and sebum produced has been minimal. Meaning that it would be great for oily skin type.
I have a dry skin type, but I've been able to control dehydration by applying aloe vera gel with glycerin before moisturizing. That way, I won't experience a pull or tighten feeling on my face.
