I am Scared of taking Vaccine

Good afternoon. I work in a big company in Nigeria, and we were informed before weekend that all staffs will be vaccinated. I am scared of taking the vaccine, because of the numerous news and videos of people dying after the vaccine.

I'm at a cross road right now, my work is important to me, but I am scared of something bad happening to me if I take it.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) the benefits of taking COVID-19 vaccines outweighs the risk. Vaccines are made from inactive or dead microorganism and introduced into the system so that you can become immune to the infection or disease.

You can talk to your company's management if it's okay not to get vaccinated. But if your work demands interacting with people on a daily basis, it is safer to get vaccinated.

It's okay to let your concern known, and you can discuss or ask the health professional giving the vaccine further questions.
