Is it normal to bleed during pregnancy

Please my friend is pregnant in her early stage but she said she bleeds in-between. I told her to go to the hospital but she said her mon said it's normal. Please how true is that?

Firstly, it's good you are worried about your friend, but you have to encourage her to see a doctor. Bleeding during pregnancy happens but doesn't make it normal. 

 

Different things can be responsible for it too such as infection, implantation bleeding(when the fertilized egg implants itself to the wall of the uterus), ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, among other things can make a pregnant woman bleed. Please tell her to see a doctor. And she should register for ante-natal.
