4 Things you can do to Ease Inflammation

We often talk about inflammation, but what does this word mean? Inflammation is a process where your body’s white blood cells and their components protect you from infection from foreign bodies such as viruses and bacteria.

While your body needs some inflammation to combat these foreign bodies and speed up healing, however, when this goes on for too long can trigger your immune system to fight healthy organs and tissues.  And when this happens, it can further lead to diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, and cancer. Thank goodness, there are things you can do to stave off.

Get enough sleep

Get enough sleep, more sleep, and more. When you deprive yourself of quality sleep, your body may push inflammation up a little. We can’t stress enough the need to get at least 7 hours of sleep or more at night.

Take a walk

As little as 20 minutes of exercise a day, such as strolling, can prevent an anti-inflammatory response in the body. Experts suggest taking 30 minutes of physical activity daily, 5 days a week. But you don’t need to rush; you can gradually increase your minutes.

Add some spice to your dishes.

Spices such as ginger, turmeric, garlic, cinnamon, and others have been shown to help slow down activities in the body capable of leading to inflammation. However, moderation is ultimate; avoid overloading your meal with this nature’s goodness.

Go on a no-meal trip.

Eating is essential to provide the body with the nutrients needed to fuel the body. On the other hand, research shows intermittent fasting may not be a bad idea. Eating at a fixed window period every day has anti-inflammatory effects.

Although there are several ways to follow this guideline, a standard method is to eat between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.
