Olamilekan Agbeleshe popularly known as Laycon has been declared the winner of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season 5 after polling the highest votes among the 5 finalists on Sunday, September 27.
The 26-year-old singer and rapper from Lagos became the fans’ favorite after showcasing his lyrical prowess, smartness, intelligence, and his genuine love and care towards other housemates.
Laycon is a graduate of philosophy from the University of Lagos. He started his musical journey at an early age and has now emerged as one of Nigeria’s most promising new school acts.
While in the Lockdown House, Laycon had a cordial relationship with all the Housemates, including Kiddwaya who once described him as an intelligent and accommodating person.

He bagged accolades from viewers and gained top fans mostly from celebrities for being able to control his anger and emotions during a unilateral confrontation Ngozi “Erica” Nlewedim brought to him after a Saturday night party.
Laycon became the first BBNaija Housemate to reach an Instagram followership of 1 million while still in the House. He has close to 300,000 followers on Twitter, surpassing all the Lockdown Housemates.
By his BBNaija season 5 success, Laycon is going home with a whopping N85 million, an amount that surpasses what the previous winners of the show went home with.
Nengi Rebecca came third, while Dorathy Bachor took the second position as the season 5 of BBNaija came to a close after an entertaining 71 days by 20 Housemates.
