Why is a Woman more Susceptible to Infections than Men

Why do women easily get an infection than men?
Why do women easily get an infection than men?
While infection is not limited to women alone, a woman's anatomy is the culprit here. The length of the urethra and location of the urethral opening makes them susceptible to infection.
The length of a woman's urethra is very short with no more than 1.5 inches long, while that of the man is long between 7 and 8 inches. This difference means that bacteria need to travel far before they can infect the man's bladder or other urinary part; and they can get flushed out when urinating before they get the opportunity to grow and form a colony.
