What is Sex Positivity: Everything you need to know?

You must have heard or come across the word sex positive. In a society where people are encouraged to be more tolerant, empathize, embrace themselves and be their best version, it’s completely normal to talk about sex positivity as much as we can. So, straight to the point, what is sex positivity?

Sex positivity is a lifestyle that replaces shame with pleasure and judgment with freedom. Looking at it from another lens, it means sex can be a good thing in a person’s life. It is an idea of giving people the space to own, explore learn about their sexuality, and gender without judgment.

Sex positivity breaks the cycle of shame and criticism from sex-particularly pre-marital sex, sexuality, and sensuality.

One interesting thing about being sex positive is that you don’t have to be sexually active to be sex positive. However, you have to truly believe that other people who choose to have sex how they want it, and with whomever as far it is consensual should have it.

While the society is largely responsible for sex negativity, humanity and experience can help with sex positivity. To become sex positive, here are things required: patience, commitment, time, and bravery.
