Please how do I know when a breast in the lump is harmless like it's not cancer related? Thank you.

If you feel any lump in your breasts, the best and effective way to rule out any abnormalities is to see a doctor.

However, here is a basic way experts suggest to separate a harmless lump from cancer:

  1. It can be solid, unmovable, like a dried bean, movable- soft, and filled with fluid- and can be rolled between the finger like a grape.
  2. Breast cancer does not usually cause pain, on the other hand, a harmless lump can sometimes be painful, achy, tender, and with burning sensation.
