My experience with a City Hairstylist

My experience with a city stylist

Before moving to Abuja some years back, I've heard about the expensive lifestyles especially hair making.

I decided to make few wigs to be rocking before finding my way around the city. After making the wigs, my only problem was where I can be plaiting my hair in cornrows.

After spending a month and still carrying my unkempt cornrows, without knowing where to plait it. I decided to ask my neighbor where to plait my natural hair.

Luckily for me, she just called for home service for her daughter's hair. She said she will call me when she's around. I was so happy when she said that.

Few minutes later, she called me. I plaited my hair asked for her charges, she said madam have paid for me. See me see happiness, money saved we move!

2 weeks later, I asked for the stylist shop, my neighbor gave me her number to call her when I get to the market.

I called her, she directed me to her shop.  We started gisting, from one the gist we realized we were from the same town. We were both happy, for my mind I was like reduced hair price loading!

Okay ooo, she finished with the hair, I gave her 300 hundred naira. Aunty change am for me ooo. She said lailai! She didn't come to Abuja to count pillars.

Mogbe (I'm in trouble)! 5 cornrows for 500. I said aunty, na 300 dey my hand ooo. She was angry that she can't take the money from me.

In mind, this 5 cornrows for village na 50 naira ooo. After plenty begging, she collected with vex. Where is the "my town sister" love again?

That encounter forced me to learn how to plait my hair myself. I cannot come and be begging people for transport money back to my house because of cornrow.
