Job hunting series
Job hunting series
During our undergraduate days, we dreamt and imagined the company, or organization we will work with after graduating. Now we have graduated and reality of life is looking us in the eyes.
My job hunting experiences can fill a text book, but let me share one or two experience with you.
1. I applied for a job in one of the Facebook jobs advertisement. On getting to the "company", I found out it was one of those Mlm companies around. Oh my God! Was totally disappointed, waste of transport fare to my supposed interview.
I almost cried because I had imagined how I would spend my first salary. I went back disappointed though, but never making that mistake again.
2. In one of my random searches, I stopped by at a company and asked if they would be interested in giving me a job. The HR asked about my work experiences, I told him. After doing a random interview I was told my salary will be 20,000. Haaaa, sir, you say? But my house to this place cost about 5,000 a month, feeding and upkeep how do I do that?
He said I should relocate to the company's area to cut the cost. But I need money to relocate. Relocating wasn't the problem, but my work routine; I'm supposed to start work 8-4pm, (weekend inclusive) plus unprepared night duties, which is why it's a must I move closer to the said location for easy movement.
3. Searching for a job made me pretty popular amist people who appreciated my courage. He said someone needed a female worker, and the pay is 16,000, 8-6pm everyday. Job description includes ability to multitask I mean, I would literally be doing a five person's job.
What's your job searching experience?
